Guide on how to access your google business profile.

Many local SEO guides focus on optimizing your business listing, but do you know how to access it in the first place?

Don’t worry because I’ll simplify this and show you exactly how to access your Google Business Profile and only then can you start managing it and building up your local presence.

(Spoiler Alert: I will even share with you some great tips)

What Is A Google Business Profile?

To begin with, I will explain what a Google Business Profile(GBP) is.

GBP is a free tool that allows your business to show up when people search on Google or look at maps.

You include all the essential information people need to find you, know what you do and trust you to become your clients.

Now that you are aware of what this tool does let’s get into the login process.

Step-by-Step Process To Access Your Google Business Profile

To access your Google Business listing, follow my instructions below:

Step 1: Sign In to Your Google Account

For starters, you should never forget the Google email(Gmail) you used to create the business profile in the first place, as you’ll need it to log in each time.

So, go to  https://accounts.google.com/

Enter your email and password.

If you’re unsure of your password, use Google’s recovery options to regain access. Or, to be safe, write it somewhere so you won’t have to repeat it.

Step 2: Go to Google Business Profile Homepage

Once you’re signed in, head to the Google Business Profile homepage using this URL:

https://www.google.com/business/

Another more straightforward way, in my opinion, is to navigate to the upper left corner of your screen, where you will see a dotted square icon next to your Google account profile image called Google Apps.

Once you find the icon, click it and choose the blue store icon that says business profile manager.

choose the blue icon to access your gmb

Step 3: Click “Manage Now”

Click the “Manage Now” button on the homepage to get started.

Select the manage now button to enter your Google business listing

If you select the second method I mentioned above, click on the blue icon, and you will automatically log in to your Google My Business listing.

Step 4: Select From The Businesses You Manage

If you manage multiple businesses, you’ll see a list. Select your business to proceed.

If you manage multiple businesses select the one you want or you can add new business

If you want to add another business, click “Add Your Business” and follow the prompts to claim it.

When you claim your business, you get control over how it appears in search results, giving you the power to make a great first impression.

Step 5: Update Your Business Information

Now that you’ve accessed your business listing, you can explore all the New Merchant Experience dashboard sections and make any changes you wish.

You can now edit the google business page through new merchant experience dashboard.

You can edit your Google business profile and choose to make any modifications to the Information, such as:

Add photos and videos

Respond to reviews

Create Google Posts

Add services with descriptions

Add store products with images and descriptions

Add Questions and Answers

And the list goes on…..

Troubleshooting: What If You Can’t Access Your Profile?
